Product Information

There are many reasons why disposable contact lenses have become so popular. For one thing, disposable contacts are comfortable. They’re also ultra-convenient and a much healthier choice for overall eye health than their non-disposable counterparts. So what are the drawbacks? Well, some people feel that disposable contacts will end up costing too much so they stick with their regular contact lenses. Fortunately, there’s a way to have all the benefits of disposable lenses without spending too much money.

Biomedics 55 contact lenses are quality disposable lenses offered at an affordable price. Biomedics 55, also known as Ultraflex 55 (and several other names), are manufactured by Ocular Sciences. While you may not be familiar with the name, Ocular Sciences has been around since 1997. In 2004, they became a part of CooperVision — another highly trusted contact lens manufacturer.

To help provide protection from the sun, Biomedics 55 contact lenses are UV-absorbing. Please note that although Biomedics 55 absorb many harmful UV rays, it’s still recommended that users wear UV-blocking sunglasses as contact lenses only cover a small portion of the eye.

There are plenty of contact lenses on the market claiming to have a high water content. While the added moisture can help reduce dry-eye symptoms, it also makes the lenses more fragile. Biomedics 55 contact lenses have a lower water content so they’re far more durable than those boasting an exceptionally high water content. To make the lenses even easier to handle, Biomedics 55 are made with a light blue tint so they're easier to see during insertion and removal. The blue tint of the lenses is for ease-of-use purposes only and it will not change the appearance of your eyes.

Disposable contacts typically come with daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly replacement schedules. Biomedics 55 contacts are 1-2 week disposable contact lenses which means that you can wear them daily for up to 2 weeks and then discard them for a fresh, brand new pair. Regularly changing your lenses helps to keep eyes healthy and bright as there is less time for irritants and protein to accumulate on the contacts.

With Biomedics 55 contacts you get crisp vision, easy handling, and lasting freshness. Even better, if you purchase Biomedics 55 contacts from Lens.com, you’ll get all of these benefits at a surprisingly low price. When you’re ready to give weekly contacts a try, be sure to purchase from Lens.com — we regularly browse competitor sites to ensure we offer the lowest price.

Lenses are totally comfortable.. I am still trying to. I have conversed with you previously about exchanging my four remaining unopened boxes when I get a correct reading prescription with which I can read! My OD has tried me on 3 different lenses and I still dont have a reading lens with which I am able to read! Still trying. Thanks for your interest and patience.

great 2 week contacts

I don't like dailies, but monthlies are a little too long for me. That is why Biomedics 55 are perfect for me, since they are built to last for 2 weeks.

Best Contacts EVER

I have been wearing Biomedics for over 20 years. These are the only contacts I can wear. They don't slide around your eye or dry out. I had these problems with others. I would recommend Biomedics to anyone!

my favorite contacts so far

These contacts are so much more easy to deal with compared to other two week disposables. I found that others didn't last two weeks and they would up costing me more money.
